Assoc. Prof. Mahmud Aydın was born in Istanbul. He graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedics and traumatology at Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital.
He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in February 2026. Since June 2026 he has served as Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Haliç University Faculty of Medicine, and since 2024 he has been seeing patients at Memorial Şişli Hospital.
His clinical focus includes sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, knee and shoulder surgery, cartilage treatments and joint-preserving approaches. He served as club doctor and consultant for Darüşşafaka Basketball for three seasons, and continues his research and medical teaching alongside clinical practice.
